Hit The Streets 18: How to Prepare for a Portfolio Review with Bob Soltys

Valerie Jardin January 19, 2017

This week, photographer Bob Soltys is on the show to talk about portfolio reviews, how to prepare for them, how to make a good first impression, how to deal with rejections and how to do better next time.

Bio

Bob Soltys’ love of photography began in 1967, when his aunts gave him a Kodak Instamatic camera for Christmas. He has been a photographer and a writer since 1971, when the weekly paper bought his photos of fellow high school students protesting a teachers’ strike that would have prevented seniors from graduating. Shortly after that, he began photographing weddings, and he continues to capture the joy of living in small towns, at weddings and on the street with black and white film. A former Navy officer, Bob is the coauthor of A Lucky Life, a book about Lucky, his Jack Russell Terrier. He and Lucky live in Northeast Ohio.
