In this new case study segment, podcast listener Ferdando Cortéz describes his journey from a career as a scientist to pursuing his dream of becoming a full time travel photographer.
Fernando’s Biography
Fernando Cortés is a travel photographer from Madrid, Spain. In what, at times, feels almost like previous lives he was a scientist in academia and held several positions in the corporate world.
He has been working full-time as a photographer since early 2017, and since then, has been traveling almost non-stop across India, Southeast Asia and the Far East. His work is focused on creating images that convey a sense of place and provide insights into modern societies through exploration of their cultural roots.
Although still navigating the complexities of starting a new career, some of his images have been published by companies like Samsung and media outlets like the South China Morning Post.
